Ambidexterity in entrepreneurial universities and performance measurement systems. A literature review

Abstract The main purpose of this research is to analyze the exploration and exploitation knowledge in universities that support innovation entrepreneurship their environment. For this, Performance Measurement Systems (PMS) management are analyzed as a proxy for implementation strategic vision universities. This study based on systematic literature review subject, supported by technical possibilities offered MAXQDA (The Art Data Analysis) program. databases used were following: Elsevier (Science Direct), Springer, Wiley Taylor & Francis. findings suggest organizational ambidexterity, general, develops unevenly from different approaches, among which innovation, learning strategy stand out. However, ambidexterity hardly university context, where most activities require some technological frontier. Therefore, it necessary understand these two dimensions (exploration exploitation) positive influence entrepreneurship. In context development technology science happens at an ever-increasing speed, balance between necessary, should be reflected control mechanisms academic environments, such (PMS). analysis systems will allow know position face ambidexterity.
